Mmm mmm mmm People just don't learn.
Early Sunday morning, a Queens venue called Event Center, was busted for conducting an illegal party with over 160 people present.
Early Sunday morning, police observed employees sneaking in boxes of liquor through the back entrance and setting up for the event. The business, located on 243rd st, near Mayda Road, in Rosedale, flooded with partiers, quickly going over the set capacity.
By 2:20am, the Queens Sheriff and his deputies were busting the bumping party, containing over 160 people who were drinking, dancing, and smoking all at a life threatening closeness. Unfortunately, the two, unlicensed, bouncers, Jason Hicks (35) and Sha-Mel Lamont Jones were arrested alongside the DJ and a stray partier who possessed cannabis. The DJ, Andres Cadavid(28) was also fined $1000 for promoting during COVID and the building was punched with a $15,000 fine for breaking fire code(blocking the front entrance to look like it was closed), illegal liquor use, and ignoring COVID guidelines.
In early July, the COVD rating in this city rose by 1%, unfortunately, in this particular area, it has now risen by 7.78% over the past WEEK!! Damn! All I can say is, be safe guys and don't allow living your life to mean disregarding your health and wellness!
Happy Holidays and Be Safe
