Digital Dating 101 (3) with Cee Flame

Analyzing pictures is really a subjective sport. Of course you start with the face and what you consider attractive. Have you ever looked in the background? I partially do; especially in videos. Analyzing pictures also helps tremendously when restructuring your profile.

Smiles & Eyes:

I love a bright smile with teeth at least twice in a person's album. If you look away, up, down and smirk more than four times in your album then I’ll assume you have PBS. Pretty Boy Syndrome. Seduce me with your eyes so I know it’s real. This energy usually comes from the “look at my brown eyes in the sunlight” flicks, which I don’t oppose. I just hate that they won’t play it off in photos. You can literally tell that you’re burning your pupils to prove to me that those contacts are hazel.

As a human I get that you have to lessen the attention of your weaker parts when trying to attract a mate. Same reason why Musiq Soulchild wore shades all the time. I love me a good smize. Women usually conquer in this arena unless their beautician wasn’t feeling them that week. I flash my smile because it’s my money-maker but the straight-face sexy look is a winner also. Giving Essence cover vibes definitely sets the tone. I prefer smiling in video because of the organic feels. Whether it’s mid-joke or “off guard”, walking into a smile works better than posing in a smile. Unless you’re swift with the self-timing photos like catwoman.

Pose & Background:

Fun backgrounds win because they show how well-traveled you are. Nice to know you have options for date night. When you caption it with “guess where I was” is where you lose me. I hate having to guess and you tell me “Lol nah. I’m actually at….”. Don’t brag about your exclusivity to me. In the prolific words of Da Baby “Actin like we n*ggas dat never had sh*t”. However if you’re willing to play this game for the sake of banter, proceed.

Travel pictures are a great conversation starter also. Going back to the videos, our current technological state in society makes it easier to pick up someone’s personality in a 60 second video. It’s like selling your product via instagram ads. Dating is technically marketing so you have to make yourself look clickable to your demographic. Videos are fun, you can play with the visuals, and make as many short clips necessary to show off every part of your personality. I find them more effective than photos.

Group Photos

I am always praying your profile is your friends when I see this happen. You know 2 of your friends in that flick are entire baddies and they’re in most of your pictures. That’s not fair. However, group photos and videos are a great way for you to understand the kind of energy this possible bae possesses. What kind of friends does he/she have? What parts of their conversation is he/she comfortable posting? That tells you alot by itself.

When you look at photos and/or videos, think about it like a review for a product: would I refer this to someone else? Remember this is a subjective game so have confidence in your personal taste.
