Hip Hop at the Olympics?

Hold up, wait a minute, let me put some BREAKIN' in it! Did I just learn correctly? The 2024 Paris Olympics will now be adding, the wildly legendary, Break Dancing sport to tear up the floors! Oh nah, see, I can't wait for this!

The pop-locking, bone-breaking, head-spinning aerobatics started in the 1970s, busting it's way through the urban world of dance. It's not surprising that this dance started from a combination of gymnastics and martial arts, overpowering the street corners and clubs by African-Americans and Latinos! There became "crews" and "battles" that made this style of dance so popular, that by the 1980s, people were watching Hollywood movies that glorified them!

Since then, Break Dancing has steadily risen, making competitive appearances all around the world! But in 2018, a Youth Olympics, located in the capital of Argentina (Buenos Aires), had an extremely successful run with the "Breaking" competitions, as the USA hip hop pioneers will be calling it in the future Olympics, sparking the idea to continue the glorious endeavor!

According to ESPN, the very popular Place del le Concorde, located in downtown Paris, will be hosting this epic event! I'm so loving the fact that my B-BOYS and B-GIRLS are still breaking outstanding barriers.
