Hello my blog readers, today I'm touching on a topic that is a little too harsh for me, but it had to be done. It's extremely horrifying but, sadly very true, that women, especially our black women, go through dealing with disrespect from our own men in our own neighborhoods. Well, Harlemites, say enough is enough as they gather around the liquor store located at West 128th Street in St Nicholas avenue, Saturday, marching down the blocks of Harlem for a young lady who was attacked on January 18th.
On Monday (Martin Luther King Jr. Day), 6:00pm, the unidentified young lady, who is reported to be 31 years old, was coming home from work and went to the liquor store on West 128th. She reported the two young men approached her in the store offering to buy her wine, which she politely turned down, and walked out of the store. It was said that the young men followed her out of the store, and started to surround her, harassing her for her time. She was then attacked while she walked across the street towards her home, being kicked, spit on and bitten by these three horrible wannabe hoodlums!
"I couldn't believe it, it was like an animal. That's the only way I can put it, it was like an animal," the woman told NBC New York.
"I just remember screaming to the top of my lungs, I just kept saying 'He's biting me! He's biting me!" she said. "He bit through my eyebrow and then he continued to just, he kept opening his mouth to try to like re-grasp."
Unfortunately, the suspects haven't been caught yet, but Harlem is definitely lettin
g it be known that these men are no longer allowed in their neighborhoods! There is also a reward for anyone who can identify and help get them in custody.
Women please be safe and stay alert for ANYONE! This can not stand l, and thank goodness people are finally taking charge of there neighborhoods!
